WhatsApp connection
SettingsWhatsApp is where the connection between your workspace and your WhatsApp Business Account lives.

The status strip
Four cells across the top, each with a coloured dot and a short explanation.
Sending
| Value | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Live | Meta reports no active blockers | Nothing |
Live · throttled | Sending works but is capped at the unverified tier | Complete Meta business verification |
Outbound only | The webhook subscription failed, so incoming messages may be delayed | Contact support |
Limited | No Meta payment method on the account | Add one |
Restricted | A Meta verification problem is blocking some message types | Open Meta Business Manager for the detail |
The cell also carries your WABA ID with a copy button.
Verification
Your Meta business verification status: Verified, Not verified, Pending,
Rejected, Revoked or Expired. Verification is done entirely in Meta
Business Manager. Boldally cannot submit or speed it up.
Until it says Verified, your messaging limit stays at Meta's unverified tier.
Meta payment method
Shows Active or Missing, plus your Meta Business ID with a copy button.
Meta bills you directly for template messages. If this says Missing, sends
will start failing once you pass Meta's free allowance. Select Open in Meta
Business Manager, add a card there, then come back and select Sync from
Meta.
This is the single most common cause of "my messages suddenly stopped".
Messaging limit
Meta's cap on how many unique customers you can start a conversation with per
rolling 24 hours: 50 / 24h, 250 / 24h, 1,000 / 24h, 2,000 / 24h,
10,000 / 24h, 100,000 / 24h or Unlimited.
Meta raises this on its own as your quality rating stays high and you keep sending. Business verification lifts the ceiling. You cannot request an increase from inside Boldally Chat.
Sync from Meta
Sync from Meta, top right, pulls fresh data from Meta: connection health, verification, payment status, messaging limit, phone numbers and display names.
Use it after you:
- Add or change a Meta payment method
- Finish business verification
- Get a display-name change approved
- Add or remove a number in WhatsApp Manager
- Turn two-step verification off for a number
The strip also shows when it last synced.
Warning banners
Two banners can appear across the app:
- WhatsApp is not connected. No connection at all. Nothing sends or arrives.
- Action needed. Either your business is not verified with Meta, or there is no Meta payment method, or both. Sending is limited or will fail.
Both link straight to this screen. They are hidden while you are already on it.
Disconnect
At the bottom, Disconnect WhatsApp account. You are asked to type the number's display name to confirm.
Disconnecting:
- Stops incoming and outgoing WhatsApp messages immediately.
- Does not release your phone numbers. They stay registered with Meta on your WhatsApp Business Account.
- Can be undone: connect again by signing in with Meta.
Existing conversations, contacts and templates stay in your workspace.
