Phone numbers
SettingsWhatsApp lists every number on your WhatsApp Business Account under Phone numbers, grouped into three sets.

The three groups
| Group | Meaning |
|---|---|
| (top, no heading) | Numbers you have enabled. These send and receive in Boldally Chat. |
| Available to add | On your WhatsApp Business Account but not in use here. Select Enable to start using one. |
| Unavailable | No longer on your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta. Re-add the number in Meta WhatsApp Manager, then Sync from Meta. |
Each row shows the number, its display name, a status pill and, for enabled numbers, a quality dot.
Enable a number
Select Enable on a row under Available to add. It starts sending and receiving immediately.
How many numbers you can enable depends on your plan. If you are at the limit, enabling is refused and the message says so.
Disable a number
Select Disable. At least one number must stay enabled, so the button is disabled on your last one, with a tooltip saying "At least one number must stay enabled".
Disabling stops that number sending and receiving in Boldally Chat. It does not touch the number at Meta.
Number status
Expand an enabled number by selecting its row.
| Pill | Meaning |
|---|---|
active | Registered on WhatsApp and ready |
| any other value | Registered with Meta but not yet usable |
If a number you enabled is not active, a warning panel appears on the row. The
usual cause is two-step verification left on for that number, which Meta
reports as error #133005:
-
Open Meta WhatsApp Manager → Account tools → Phone numbers.
-
Select the number and turn Two-step verification off.
-
Back in Boldally Chat, select Sync from Meta, or Disable then Enable the number.
Quality rating
Enabled numbers show Quality · green, yellow or red. Meta sets this from
how customers react to your messages: blocks, reports and "not useful" feedback
push it down.
- Green is healthy.
- Yellow is a warning. Review what you are broadcasting and to whom.
- Red means Meta may restrict your messaging limit.
You cannot appeal a quality rating from Boldally Chat. What moves it is sending messages people expect: honour opt-outs, keep marketing relevant, and do not broadcast to lists that never asked for you.
Working with more than one number
When two or more numbers are enabled, extra controls appear automatically:
- The inbox gets a number filter above the conversation list.
- Each conversation header shows via number.
- Campaigns get a WhatsApp number picker so you choose what to send from.
With a single enabled number, none of that clutter appears.
Change a display name
The display name customers see is set by Meta, not by Boldally Chat. The field is read-only here.
Request a change in Meta WhatsApp Manager (the profile section links straight there). Once Meta approves it, select Sync from Meta to pull the new name in.
