Billing and plan changes

SettingsBilling is where the subscription lives. Payments run through Razorpay in INR.

Who can do this

  • Owner

Billing is owner-only. Admins are redirected away from this screen, and the API refuses them too.

What the page shows​

  • Plan name and status, with the price and billing interval.
  • Renews on (or Access until if you have cancelled).
  • Agent seats used out of your allowance.
  • Chat history kept and media kept, from your plan's retention.
  • A Change plan section.
  • GST & billing details.
  • Invoices & payments.

Plans, prices and limits change over time. The plan picker on this screen and boldally.com/pricing are the two places that are always current, which is why this page does not list prices.

Upgrade​

Select Upgrade on a higher plan.

  1. A confirmation shows two numbers: Pay now, the prorated difference for the rest of this billing cycle, and the new price from your next renewal.

  2. Select Continue to payment. Razorpay opens for that one-off amount.

  3. On success, the new plan applies immediately and the recurring price changes at your next renewal. The renewal date does not move.

Near the end of a cycle the prorated difference can round to nothing, in which case the upgrade applies with no payment step.

:::note Why an upgrade asks for payment again A card mandate fixes the amount and frequency when you first authorise it, so Razorpay will not let us charge a different amount mid-cycle against it. The prorated difference has to be collected as a separate payment you confirm. :::

Downgrade​

Select Downgrade on a lower plan and confirm.

  • The change is scheduled for your next renewal. You keep the current tier until then and are not charged now.
  • The banner on the status card shows what it will change to and when, with an Undo button.
  • If your current usage does not fit the lower plan, the downgrade is refused with a message naming what to remove first, for example extra agents or extra WhatsApp numbers. Clean up, then try again.

Extra agent seats​

Only shown on plans that sell extra seats.

Use + and − to set a target. Nothing is charged while you are adjusting; a bar appears showing the recurring increase per month and the exact amount charged today.

  • Add seats charges the prorated amount now and applies immediately.
  • Remove seats applies at the next renewal. There is no refund for the remainder of the cycle.

GST and invoices​

GST & billing details takes your Legal name, GSTIN (optional) and Place of supply as a two-digit state code. Add your GSTIN if you want to claim input credit. Select Save details.

Invoices are issued by Razorpay. Each row under Invoices & payments shows the amount, what it was for and the date, with an Invoice link where Razorpay provides one.

Cancel​

Cancel subscription at the bottom of the status card.

  • You keep full access until the end of the current billing period.
  • There is no refund for the remaining time.
  • It does not renew after that. Once the period ends, sending stops.
