Connecting Your WhatsApp Number

Boldally Chat connects to WhatsApp through Meta's official Cloud API using Embedded Signup. No technical setup required.

Requirements​

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A phone number not currently registered on WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business
  • A Facebook account with access to a Meta Business Portfolio (you can create one during signup — it's free)

Already using WhatsApp Business app?​

If your number is registered on the WhatsApp Business app, you'll need to deregister it first:

  1. Open WhatsApp Business on your phone
  2. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
  3. Wait 2 minutes for the number to be released
  4. Return to Boldally Chat and connect the number

How to Connect​

  1. In your Boldally Chat dashboard, go to Settings > WhatsApp
  2. Click Connect WhatsApp Number
  3. You'll be redirected to Meta's Embedded Signup flow:
    • Log in with your Facebook account
    • Select or create a Meta Business Portfolio
    • Select or register your phone number
    • Verify the number via SMS or voice call
  4. Once verified, you're redirected back to Boldally Chat

Your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID, phone number, and API tokens are configured automatically.

After Connecting​

  • Your number is live and ready to receive messages
  • Incoming messages appear in the shared inbox
  • You can create and submit message templates for outbound campaigns

Meta Business Verification​

Meta may require you to verify your business to increase messaging limits. This involves submitting business documents through Meta Business Suite. Until verified, you'll have a lower daily messaging limit.
