Contact Management

Every customer who messages you or receives a campaign is tracked, tagged, and organized in your contact database.

Auto-Created Contacts

When a new customer messages your WhatsApp number, a contact record is created automatically with their phone number and name (if available from their WhatsApp profile).

Tags and Segments

Organize contacts with tags like "VIP", "Mumbai", "Repeat Buyer", or "Interested". Use tags to:

  • Filter your contact list
  • Target specific groups for broadcast campaigns
  • Track customer segments

Custom Attributes

On Growth and Business plans, add custom fields to contact records — order ID, company name, preferred language, or any data point relevant to your business.

CSV Import and Export

Importing Contacts

  1. Go to Contacts > Import
  2. Upload a CSV file
  3. Map CSV columns to contact fields (name, phone, tags, etc.)
  4. Confirm and import

Exporting Contacts

Go to Contacts > Export to download your full contact list as CSV. Your data belongs to you.

Conversation History

Every contact has a full history — messages sent and received, campaigns they were part of, internal notes, and tags. Open any contact to see the complete timeline.

Block and Opt-Out

Respect customer preferences. Blocked and opted-out contacts are automatically excluded from broadcast campaigns.

Bulk Actions

Select multiple contacts to:

  • Add or remove tags
  • Delete contacts
  • Export selected contacts
