Notifications
Browser notifications tell you a customer wrote while you were in another tab.
Who can do this
- Agent
- Admin
- Owner
This is a personal setting on your own browser, not a workspace setting.
Turn them on
Two places:
- A banner across the top of the inbox the first time, asking for permission.
- SettingsNotifications, which every member can reach including agents.
Select the prompt and allow notifications when your browser asks.
The banner disappears once you have decided either way.
If you blocked them by accident
Browsers do not re-ask once you have said no. Reset it from the browser itself:
| Browser | Where |
|---|---|
| Chrome, Edge | Select the icon at the left of the address bar → Notifications → Allow |
| Firefox | Select the padlock → Clear permission for notifications, then reload |
| Safari | Safari → Settings → Websites → Notifications |
Then reload Boldally Chat.
Notifications need the tab open
Boldally Chat is a web app. Notifications arrive while the site is open in a browser tab, including in the background. Close every tab and they stop.
There is no mobile push notification and no separate mobile app today. If you work from a phone, keep the site open in your browser.
What is not available yet
SettingsNotifications shows Per-event preferences coming soon. Today you can turn browser notifications on or off; you cannot yet choose which events notify you, or set up email notifications.
In the meantime, the inbox tabs do the filtering: Unassigned for the shared queue, Mine for your own, Unread for anything new.
